The directory was founded on the principles of achdus (togetherness or unity), service and tzedakka (charity).
Achdus, because a directory is a key component to bringing a community together. The numerous telephone numbers and addresses, as well as email section, community organization information and selection of local businesses, will provide valuable reference material for years to come.
Invited out for a meal? Now you have the address. Want to make a play date for your child? Now you have the phone number.
Service, because first and foremost this is a community service -- and we want to make the inclusion process as easy as possible, both for our community members and advertisers. Whether you are comfortable updating your data on the web, emailing us your information, dropping it off at our office in person, sending us snail mail or even leaving a message by phone -- there is a way for you to be a part of the directory.
Tzedakka, because we are donating profits from the directory's publication every year. For our first two editions, we selected the Emergency Parnosa Initiative as our designated charity. Helping those in need, it was representative of the ideals behind issuance of the directory itself – achdus and community. For the third edition, we were pleased to partner with the Park Mikvah. For the fourth edition, we are pleased to let YOU, the community, select our charity. If you have not already done so, please go to https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFFRCXK and vote for this year's beneficiary!
